OVER/AT Scotland | Trans+, Non-Binary, & Gender Non-Conforming Collective

As the interviewees for the second ClassicalQueer Podcast with Sammi Jane Smith, I had the wonderful opportunity to talk with three amazingly talented writers and performers from Scotland and Northern England. Rylan Gleave, Vivien Holmes, and Rufus Isabel Elliot were kind enough to join us to talk about their music, a new EP of vocal works by Trans+, Non-Binary, and Gender Non-Conforming artists based in the UK, and their creative processes.

Vivien, Rylan, and Rufus were vibrant, energetic, and incredibly insightful. I was absolutely enthralled with the complete world that each composer/producer/performer was able to create in their work. I felt drawn into an atmosphere that was both new, sharp, and challenging, while being comfortable, funny, and incredibly familiar. The podcast will come out in a week or so, but I wanted people to have the chance to visit their websites and hear their music before we talk with them. I suppose this is partially because I genuinely love their music, but also because the podcast only allowed us time to listen to two or three pieces.

Please explore their websites and get excited to hear their thoughts on creation!
